Medical Equipment, Supplies and Other Services

Carr Rehab, Inc. provides these and other customer services to our patients, in addition to the medical equipment and supplies. The following are provided as a support and convenience to our patients:

  • Delivery of equipment
  • Evaluation of client for specialized products
  • Evaluation of client’s home and workplace for wheelchair accessibility
  • Evaluation of client’s feasibility for wheelchair transport
  • Time and travel to secure proper documentation for patient
  • Time and labor involved with trial fittings and product sampling
  • Labor for warranty repair of defective products
  • Monitoring use of product
  • Billing of primary or secondary payer sources
  • Rework of denied claims
  • Product education to client
  • Follow-up with patient, caregiver, and/or family to check compliance and equipment performance.
  • User compliance reports
  • Safety education to client
  • Product and technology training for physicians and therapists
  • Maintaining inventory in a new or near new condition (quality product)
  • On-time delivery and service
  • Loaner products while client’s product is in for service when possible
  • Labor to build or assemble and test sophisticated mobility equipment
  • Instruction on equipment operation and safety to client, family and caregiver
  • Providing equipment in special cases prior to being able to bill for them

Warranties

The manufacturers of your equipment provide you with warranties. If you experience problems, they may be covered by your warranties; Carr Rehab will work with the manufacturer to help repair them.

Repair and maintenance

Repair work requires that you schedule an appointment to bring your equipment in for repairs, call (865) 546-2386

In order to bill your funding source for repairs, we may have to have a physician’s order and prior authorization from them before we can do the work. It may be necessary for you to contact them to request they approve the authorization as quickly as possible.

While we do everything possible can to take care of you and your equipment, we also reserve the right not to repair any equipment that we did not provide. We do honor all warranty issues from our manufacturers.
